Welcome to the 8th Annual S|A Maraia Golf Tournament and Fundraiser.
Registration is NOW OPEN for the Monday September 23rd golf tournament benefitting the children of Camp Sunshine. Former Boston College, NFL, and Super Bowl legend Steve DeOssie will be our celebrity guest host. Also –– new this year –– Black Rock Country Club will be the S|A Maraia Charities event co-host.
Black Rock Country Club –– a family oriented club on Boston’s South Shore –– is only 20-minutes from downtown. Developed in harmony with its surroundings on the site of a one hundred year old quarry, Black Rock was recognized by Golf Week as one of America's "Top 100 Private Courses."
Your tax-deductible $300 per player registration includes all golf fees, a box lunch, and awards dinner presentation. The S|AM Golf dinner is directed by Executive Chef Sean O’Mahoney and crafted around a contemporary menu featuring the freshest and most natural ingredients. About Our Benefactor
Nestled on the shores of beautiful Sebago Lake, Camp Sunshine hosts camp sessions for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Thanks to your support, last year we successfully raised funds to open Camp Sunshine’s new waterfront pavilion and family game room – forever known as the Stephen & Albert Maraia Lounge.
As most of you know, in a six week span during 2012, we lost my two brothers, Stephen and Albert Maraia. My family and friends formed S|A Maraia Charities to benefit children in their names. In the past we have donated to worthy children charities like Camp Sunshine (campsunshine.org), plus Shiners Hospital for Children (shriners.org) and Joslin Diabetes Center (joslin.org). Today proceeds from our annual golf tournament benefit S|A Maraia Charities and Camp Sunshine.
