2018 S|AM Golf Preview

Details for this year's golf tournament and fundraiser have been finalized.

We are pleased to announced that final plans have been made and everything is well underway for this year's S|AM Golf Tournament and Fundraiser.


Proceeds from this year's event will again benefit Camp Sunshine. Thanks to your support last year, we successfully raised funds to open Camp Sunshine’s new waterfront pavilion and family game room – forever known as the Stephen & Albert Maraia Game Room.


In the past we have donated to worthy children charities like Camp Sunshine (campsunshine.org), plus Shiners Hospital for Children (shriners.org) and Joslin Diabetes Center (joslin.org).

This year's event will be held at Black Rock Country Club. Located in Hingham, MA, Black Rock is a family oriented club on Boston’s South Shore and is only 20-minutes from downtown. Black Rock was recognized by Golf Week as one of America's "Top 100 Private Courses."



Designed by Brian Silva, named "Architect of the Year" by Golf World Magazine, the Golf Course at Black Rock was developed in harmony with its surroundings on the site of a one hundred year old quarry.


Our celebrity co-host will be Steve DeOssie, the former Boston College, NFL, and Super Bowl legend. Thank you, Steve, for again stepping forward to help us reach our goals!

Other Notes:

• South Shore BMW is partnering with S|A Maraia Charities and together we will be sponsoring a new car for the hole-in-one contest. Thank you, South Shore!

• It would be very helpful if everyone can try and get donated items for the auction. That would really help out! Sport items, vacations, golf, all would be big winners. Thank you!

• The dinner menu is getting an upgrade. (*See Below.) Directed by Executive Chef Sean O’Mahoney, the S|AM Golf dinner is crafted around a contemporary menu featuring the freshest and most natural ingredients. Thank you, Black Rock & Chef!

• South Shore Spread • New England Clam Chowder • Iceberg Wedges with Bleu Cheese, Dried Cranberries, Toasted Nuts and Bacon-Ranch Dressing • Roasted Seasonal Vegetable Salad • Grilled Scallops over Shrimp "Studded” Risotto with Dill & Shaved Pecorino Cheese

• Spiced Molasses Barbeque Steak Tips and Rosemary Scented New Zealand Lamb Chops • Dijon & Tarragon Cured Chicken Breasts with Wild Grain Medley • Roasted Garlic & Cheddar Mashed Potatoes
